Beautification Award

Wanted:  Good Neighbors

Have you ever wondered how you get a beautification award? How a neighborhood is selected for a block award, or who determines who gets a holiday lighting award? It's easy. You decide. You simply nominate a friend or neighbor for an award and the Beautification Commission does the rest!

Each month the commission recognizes residential, commercial, and rental properties, gives out Zinnia Awards (the zinnia is Ferndale’s official flower), selects one city block annually for the Block Award, and selects decorated properties for Holiday Display Awards from nomination forms. Do you know of worthy nominees? If so, please fill out a nomination form and return it to:  Ferndale Beautification Commission, c/o City of Ferndale, 300 East Nine Mile Road, Ferndale, MI 48220.  To download a copy of the nomination award, please click here to go to the Forms and Permits Section of our website.
