FERNDALE CITY COUNCIL MEETING

TUESDAY, MAY 27, 2003, 7:30 P.M. AT CITY HALL

1. Pledge of Allegiance

2. Roll Call

3. PRESENTATION Jaime Sharer, Youth Delegate to the NLC Conference, March 2003

4. Call to Audience (Strict half-hour; excess of half-hour immediately prior to Call to Council)

5. Consent Agenda

All items listed under Consent Agenda are considered routine by the City Council and will be enacted by one motion. There will be no separate discussion of these items unless a Council Member or citizen so requests, in which event the items will be removed from the Consent Agenda and considered at the end of the Regular Agenda.

A. Approval of Special Event Application from A Step Ahead PTO for Fun Day Saturday, June 7, 2003, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at Garbutt Park, as submitted by City Clerk.

B. Appoint a Representative and Alternate to the Board of Trustees of the Southeastern Oakland County Resource Recovery Authority (SOCRRA), as submitted by City Manager.

C. Approval of "Thursdays on the Nine" to be held Thursday, June 5, 12, 19 and 26, 2003, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., authorization for businesses in the DDA to hold sidewalk sales and promotions in conjunction with the event, and the use of public pedestrian alleys on West Nine Mile Road for the event dates and times, as submitted by DDA Manager.

D. Receive the Police Department Reports for April, 2003.

E. Approval of the bills and payrolls (as certified by City Manager) and City Attorney expense statement submitted by Beier Howlett, P.C., to be paid subject to review by the Council Finance Committee.

6. Regular Agenda

A. Reappointment to the Police and Fire Board

B. Consideration to approve the contract for water main work and authorization for the Mayor and City Clerk to sign contract

7. Call to Council

8. Adjournment
