  3. PRESENTATION Appreciation Resolution for Chess Home Improvements and Allied Building Products

  4. PRESENTATION Trevor Johnson - Proposed Community Garden

  6. Call to Audience (Strict half-hour; excess of half-hour immediately prior to Call to Council)

  7. Consent Agenda

All items listed under Consent Agenda are considered routine by the City Council and will be enacted by one motion. There will be no separate discussion of these items unless a Council Member or citizen so requests, in which event the items will be removed from the Consent Agenda and considered at the end of the Regular Agenda.

  1. Approval of the Oakway Mutual Aid Agreement Bylaws changes, as submitted by Fire Chief.

  2. Approval to move Polling Location for Precinct 6 to the Kulick Community Center, as submitted by City Clerk.

  3. Approval of Special Event Application from Grant School PTA for End Of the Year Picnic to be held on Thursday, May 25, 2006, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at Geary Park, as submitted by City Clerk.

  4. Approval of temporary parking on the southbound side of Earle Boulevard and angle parking onto Geary Park off of Earl Boulevard for Wedding Reception to be held on Saturday, June 17, 2006, as submitted by City Clerk.

  5. Reaffirmation of the City Clerk’s execution of the Michigan Department of State and the City of Ferndale, Oakland County, Help America Vote Act (HAVA) Grant Agreement, AutoMARK Ballot Marking Devices and AutoMARK Information Management Software (AIMS), as submitted by City Clerk.

  6. Appointment of a Representative and Alternate to the Board of Trustees of the Southeastern Oakland County Resource Recovery Authority (SOCRRA), as submitted by City Manager.

  7. Adoption of Resolution supporting retaining Local Control of Cable Franchising, as submitted by City Manager.

  8. Approval to purchase remanufactured parking meters from Parking Meter Services to be installed throughout the City, as submitted by DPW Director.

  1. Approval of the bills, payrolls (as certified by City Manager), to be paid subject to review by the Council Finance Committee.
