FERNDALE SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING

Thursday, March 13, 2008

A Special Meeting of the Ferndale City Council was held Thursday, March 13, 2008, at City Hall, 300 East Nine Mile Road, Ferndale. Mayor Covey called the meeting to order at 7:15 p.m.

ROLL CALL

Present: Council Members Baker, Gumbleton, Lennon, Galloway, Mayor Covey.

Absent: None.

CLOSED SESSION - to consider the purchase of real estate, pursuant to MCL 15.268(d).

108. Moved by Councilman Lennon, seconded by Councilman Galloway, to recess into Closed Session for the purpose of considering the purchase of real estate, pursuant to MCL 15.268(d).

AYES: Council Members Baker, Galloway, Gumbleton, Lennon, Mayor Covey

NAYS: None

MOTION CARRIED

Mayor Covey recessed the meeting into Closed Session at 7:16 p.m., and reconvened the Special Meeting at 7:25 p.m.

CONSIDERATION OF PURCHASE OF REAL ESTATE

109. Moved by Galloway, seconded by Lennon, to approve the offer to purchase real estate located at 345 East Nine Mile Road and to authorize the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute the purchase agreement, as presented by Judge Longo and reviewed by the City Attorney.

AYES: Council Members Baker, Galloway, Gumbleton, Lennon, Mayor Covey

NAYS: None

MOTION CARRIED

ADJOURNMENT

There being no objections, Mayor Covey adjourned the meeting at 7:26 p.m.
