FERNDALE SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING

Monday, February 23, 2009

A Special Meeting of the Ferndale City Council was held Monday, February 23, 2009, at City Hall, 300 East Nine Mile Road, Ferndale. Mayor Covey called the meeting to order at 6:09 p.m.

ROLL CALL

Present: Mayor Covey, Council Members Baker, Galloway, Gumbleton, Lennon.

Absent: None.

CLOSED SESSION – Performance Appraisal, Chief of Police

056S. Moved by Councilman Lennon, seconded by Councilwoman Baker to recess into Closed Session for the purpose of performance appraisal, pursuant to Section 8a of the Open Meetings Act, as requested by Chief of Police Kitchen, and to appoint Councilwoman Baker as Recording Secretary.

AYES: Council Members Baker, Galloway, Gumbleton, Lennon, Mayor Covey

NAYS: None

MOTION CARRIED

Mayor Covey recessed the meeting into Closed Session at 6:11 p.m., and reconvened the Special Meeting at 6:38 p.m.

CLOSED SESSION – Performance Appraisal, City Manager

057S. Moved by Councilman Lennon, seconded by Councilwoman Baker, to recess into Closed Session for the purpose of performance appraisal, pursuant to Section 8a of the Open Meetings Act, as requested by City Manager, and to appoint Councilwoman Baker as Recording Secretary.

AYES: Council Members Galloway, Gumbleton, Lennon, Baker, Mayor Covey

NAYS: None

MOTION CARRIED

Mayor Covey recessed the meeting into Closed Session at 6:39 p.m., and reconvened the Special Meeting at 7:14 p.m.

ADJOURNMENT

There being no objections, Mayor Covey adjourned the meeting at 7:15 p.m.
