FERNDALE SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING

Wednesday, February 25, 2009

A Special Meeting of the Ferndale City Council was held Wednesday, February 25, 2009, at City Hall, 300 East Nine Mile Road, Ferndale. Mayor Covey called the meeting to order at 6:10 p.m.

ROLL CALL

Present: Mayor Covey, Council Members Galloway, Gumbleton (arrived at 6:20 p.m.), Lennon.

Absent: Council Member Baker.

CLOSED SESSION – Performance Appraisal, Fire Chief

072. Moved by Councilman Lennon, seconded by Councilman Galloway, to recess into Closed Session for the purpose of performance appraisal, pursuant to Section 8a of the Open Meetings Act, as requested by Fire Chief Schmidt, and to appoint Councilman Galloway as Recording Secretary.

AYES: Council Members Galloway, Lennon, Mayor Covey

NAYS: None

MOTION CARRIED

Mayor Covey recessed the meeting into Closed Session at 6:11 p.m

Councilwoman Gumbleton arrived at 6:20 p.m. and joined the Closed Session in progress.

Mayor Covey reconvened the Special Meeting at 6:30 p.m.

CLOSED SESSION – Performance Appraisal, City Clerk

073. Moved by Councilman Galloway, seconded by Councilwoman Gumbleton, to recess into Closed Session for the purpose of performance appraisal, pursuant to Section 8a of the Open Meetings Act, as requested by City Clerk, and to appoint Councilman Galloway as Recording Secretary.

AYES: Council Members Gumbleton, Lennon, Galloway, Mayor Covey

NAYS: None

MOTION CARRIED

Mayor Covey recessed the meeting into Closed Session at 6:31 p.m., and reconvened the Special Meeting at 6:51 p.m.

ADJOURNMENT

There being no objections, Mayor Covey adjourned the meeting at 6:52 p.m.
