The following work requires a permit:

roof
siding
remodeling
decks
steps
garage
shed
pool
additions

plumbing - including hot water heaters (click here for fee schedule)
mechanical - furnace, air conditioning, duct, humidifiers, etc. (click here for fee schedule)
sidewalk - bond required (click here for fee schedule)
apron - cement between sidewalk and street - bond required (click here for fee schedule)
