Trees for Sale     

Martin Road ParkParks and Forestry is responsible for the maintenance of 11 neighborhood parks and three mini-parks comprising 81 acres, including two regulation-sized soccer fields and eight youth-sized fields, eight softball fields, two baseball fields, seven restroom buildings, assorted play equipment, two picnic shelters, three half basketball courts and 5 full basketball courts.  Click here to see a map of park locations.

The city maintains 6,506 street trees comprising 43 species/cultivars, with the five most common species, representing 65%, being Norway maple, Silver maple, Honey Locust, Crabapple and Green ash. In addition, 878 park trees are maintained. Maintenance primarily centers on trimming, which is done to every street and park tree once every five years.

Upon residents’ request, the city plants street trees at a cost of $125 per 10-to 12-foot- high, 1 ?" caliper tree.   The city also sells trees for planting on private property for $125 per tree, but residents must plant them.
